Location: Lexington, Kentucky and Mason, Ohio

Electrician position requires strong mechanical and electrical trouble shooting abilities with an understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and conveyors. This job is a long-term traveling position. Driven is an Industrial Engineering Firm that works at a customer sites as required. We are looking for team members who are Team Players with a driven exclusive team that works to get the job done.

This is a demanding job with lots of overtime and travel. $28.00 – $30.00 per hour with company benefits, paid vacation and a potential of a yearly bonus.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Installs industrial electrical equipment and preforms systems maintenance, while working with electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, electrical codes, standards, and regulations
  • Locates and corrects electrical malfunctions in electrical systems and equipment and makes necessary repairs.
  • Repairs and maintain electrical circuits, controls, electrical systems, automatic and remote controls, bus bars, switches, and miscellaneous electrical equipment.
  • Performs layout and installation of electrical systems.
  • Determines wire sizes for various loads, motor horsepower requirements, line andcircuit loads, and the assembly of electrical parts and wiring.
  • Knowledge of PLC’s and VFD controlled machinery
  • Very solid knowledge of 120VAC control circuits, 24VDC control circuit, Industrial Power3 Phase 480V and industry accepted electrical safety practices for testing energizedcircuits.
  • Assemble materials on job site based upon provided prints from controls.
  • Must be able to layout machine tooling from prints, test, troubleshoot, and install24vdc,120v and 480v systems.
  • Responsible for connection of wires to circuit breakers, transformers or othercomponents.
    • Proficient in testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electricalwiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters andvoltmeters, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
    • Work with controls to communicate any changes made to prints.
    • Check trailer inventory making sure sufficient stock of wire, fittings, and otherrequired materials.
    • Responsible for observing and following all safety regulations with OSHArequired PPE.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Ability to recognize and solve typical problems using established operating proceduresand scientific methods.
  • Proficient in interpreting documents, schematics, and blueprints
  • Solid electrical aptitude and mathematical abilities appropriate to the position
  • Experience in operating forklifts, personal lifts and other powered equipment
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Maintains a safe and effective work area/environment and uses appropriate personalprotective and safety equipment.
  • Adheres to all quality and safety codes.
  • COVID-19/Social Distancing awareness is critical.
  • Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required.
  • May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours asnecessary.
  • Arc Flash & Lock Out/Tag Out training required or provided.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret Controls design prints, equipment manuals,technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Use shop tools both hand and powered.
  • Safely utilize forklift and high lift.

Required Experience and/or Education:

  • Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations.
  • Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeship, or the equivalent experience in related field.
  • Years of Experience: 4 – 6 years in relevant experience.
