An opportunity for an extremely self-motivated individual, with broad “hands-on” and manufacturing knowledge. Experience in plant production that includes blow molders, plastic injection molding with plant infrastructure knowledge second in nature. Experience with success in line changes is preferred. With 60% travel, previous warrior experience is essential in navigating priorities to multiple plant sites. This position demands skillsets to deal with entry level workers to senior leadership management in prioritizing and completing tasks on time. Strong communication skills and follow-through attributes are essential in meeting this position’s highly visible responsibilities. 

Position Summary: 

The Plant Systems Engineer’s core job responsibilities require familiarity with a wide variety of manufacturing equipment, concepts, and manufacturing principles to develop accurate and complete requirements for installation of capital project assignments, on time and on budget. 

A seasoned manufacturing engineer or highly experienced candidate will assess existing plant systems with respect to installation of capital projects ranging between $1-15 Million. Utilizing CAD drawings to define precise equipment installation and integrating the necessary plant adaptation, including utilities (power, water, air, chiller-water, etc.), to entirely new installation or basic production line upgrades. 

Plant production systems understanding experience is required, along with a solid understanding of high volume / low mix production. Taking responsibility for accuracy in confirming the best solution is a non-negotiable, along with working with different teams to successfully meet deadlines. 

Defining machine operating conditions for new capital equipment installation experience is preferred. Complete accuracy with installation run-off verification knowledge is preferred. The ability to provide examples of successful installation plans that includes meeting project costs and deadlines will narrow the candidate field significantly. 


Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering with 5-7 years plant systems experience (preferred). 

10+ years related experience in daily plant manufacturing or management (considered). 

Mechanical / Electrical / HVAC knowledge (required). 

Capital project experience (preferred). 

AutoCad design (preferred). 

LEAN Manufacturing methods; Six Sigma process control knowledge (valued significantly). 

Proficient in MS Office; Word, Excel, Power Point. (must). 

Collaborative software; MS Teams, WEBEX, etc. (must) 

Familiarity with business software; ERP, Product Workflow and MS SharePoint, etc. (preferred). 

Positive attitude, independent self-starter with a drive and urgency (must). 

Leadership qualities, excellent follow through ability and strong communication skills are the stepping stones to future positions. 

$85k – $95k yearly based on qualifications
