Position – Maintenance Mechanic

The Industrial Mechanic is responsible for the repair, maintenance, refurbishment, and installation of various machinery, including pumps, motors, grinders, blowers, compressors, presses, injection systems, and hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Must conduct yourself and work safely at all times.
  • Complete work according to written and/or verbal instructions. 
  • Perform and/or support, including but not limited to:
    • minor construction projects,
    • Installation, repair, and troubleshooting of; Mechanical items, Electrical items, Pneumatic items and Hydraulic,
    • Periodic preventative maintenance,
    • Fabrication; including but not limited to; Welding, Cutting, Bending, and installing of various metals projects,
    • Facility repairs and improvements.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory levels and the requisition of replacement parts. 
  • Maintain documentation (including inspection records and/or repair information/data.)
  • Plan repairs using blueprints, engineering drawings, computer-aided design, Maintenance Information Management System (MIMS), maintenance manuals, vendor data, and catalogs. 
  • Operate, maintain, repair, and inspect mobile equipment including but not limited to; Overhead cranes, Forklifts, and other lifting platforms.
  • Operate a variety of machine shop equipment including but not limited to; Hot saws, Band saw, Mills, Lathes, Radial drills, Hydraulic press, and Surface grinders. 
  • Ability to travel to different locations, both locally, and out of state, overnight, and extended stays
  • Perform other duties assigned from time-to-time by the management team.

 

Skills & Requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills.
  • Experience in the mechanical maintenance trade typically found in 4+ years of working experience as a millwright or related occupation, which includes a broad scope of mechanical maintenance responsibilities .
  • Experience in the application of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and fabrication techniques and principles.
  • Advanced knowledge in reading schematic drawings, machine prints, and ladder logic.
  • Knowledge of bearings, packings, and mechanical seals.
  • Correct and safe use of power and hand tools.
  • Demonstrated skill in using a computer and associated software.
  • Skilled in working within a Team Environment among a diverse group of individuals in varying occupations and varying skill levels 

Required Experience and/or Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must be able to read and interpret drawings, use simple math, and use basic hand-held measuring tools.
  • Minimum Five (5) years’ experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics, and basic electrical repair.
  • Must have experience in the maintenance and repair of processing equipment as well as heavy industrial equipment.
  • Strong electronics / electrical experience focused on PLC, controls, and drives.
  • Basic computer skills required to use maintenance software to track and log maintenance costs
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel are required.
  • Courses and/or logged hours in the industrial maintenance field are recommended.
  • Knowledge in equipment reliability and preventative maintenance preferred.
  • Prior training and certification in the following areas highly desirable: welding certification, vibration analysis, electrical/mechanical, bearing training, conveyor systems, pumps, fans, screening equipment, and vibrating conveying systems.

Position – Controls Engineer 

The Controls Engineer will work primarily with electrical control systems using PLC programming products, such as those made by Siemens and Allen-Bradley that integrate with multiple input and output sources to create automated control systems. This position requires close interaction with clients to understand and develop automation requirements and transform them into effective software solutions. This is done with the use of software engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications.                                  

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Must conduct yourself in a safe manner at all times. 
  • Must comply with all company (and customer) safety and personnel policies and adhere to      OSHA safety standards. Support and participate in activities that enhance the current safety culture at the site.
  • Complete work according to written and or verbal instructions, including direction as set forth by the end customer.
  • Perform and or support, but not limited to; 
    • Design systems that can automate processes,
    • Lead design reviews in house and or with the customer,
    • Define / design PLC ladder logic that supports the necessary controls interface, including all equipment safety parameters,
    • Develop project bill of materials,
    • Perform investigations and experiments to prove out new technology,
    • Installation of secondary equipment including but not limited to wiring, sensors, drives, and controllers,
    • Upgrades and repairs to existing controls / equipment.
  • Troubleshoot control issues, including but not limited PLC ladder logic, inputs, and outputs.
  • Perform equipment start up and verification, both on site and at the customer.
  • Maintain controls spare parts inventory and the requisition of replacement parts.
  • Document and record design, inspection and or repair information / data.

  • Significant electrical aptitude and knowledge of acceptable practices, techniques, and codes.
  • Minimum Five (5) years’ experience with PLC Programming.
      • Rockwell/Allen-Bradley PLC (ControlLogix and CompactLogix) and HMI experience is a plus.
  • Experience in the application of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic techniques and principles.
  • Thorough working knowledge of industrial controls devices including photo-electric sensors,
  • proximity switches, solenoid valves, frequency and servo drives, and PLC I/O.
  • Advanced knowledge in reading schematic drawings, machine prints, ladder logic.

Required Experience and/or Education:

  • Expert knowledge of ladder logic architecture focusing on Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens software platforms
  • Demonstrated experience in PLC programming, commissioning of new equipment with motion
  • control, as well as remote and field support
  • Knowledge of AC Drives / VFD / HMI / Servo / PID and Motion Control is strongly preferred

Electrician Apprentice – Temporary Position

Location: Mason, Ohio

The Electrician Apprentice is responsible for measuring, cutting, and installing conduit, receptacles, switches, light fixtures and fuse boxes consistent with Employer and Client specifications and National Electrical Codes. The Apprentice must take work direction from a licensed electrician, or other assigned personnel.   The Apprentice is also responsible for loading, unloading, and transporting equipment, supplies and tools to and from job site and vehicles, and is required to clean up work area or project site at the completion of each job. 

 

Pay Rate:  $20.00 per hour

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist electricians with disassembling defective electrical equipment, replace defective or worn parts, and reassemble equipment
  • Gather tools and supplies to be used at work site
  • Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit
  • Drill holes for wiring and pull/push wiring through opening
  • Trace out short circuits on wiring
  • Lift, position, and fasten objects such as wiring, conduit, and motors
  • Perform minor repairs such as replacing fuses, light sockets, bulbs, and switches
  • Maintain tools and equipment and keep supplies and parts in order
  • Disassemble defective electrical equipment, replace defective or worn parts, and reassemble equipment
  • Clean work area, machines, tools, and equipment
  • Perform other routine duties required to install electrical systems or as directed by management

Electrician Helper – Temporary Position

Location: Mason, Ohio

Electrician helpers must have a minimal amount of experience (at least one year) in the electrical field or related area. Individuals should possess basic knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field. They must also be able to read and interpret instructions and documentation.
