D-RIVEN ENGINEERED SOLUTIONS — 10 YEARS Sharing 10X the Impact — Through the Eyes of Our President & CEO, Mike Rivenburgh
When we decided to start D-Riven, I had no idea how humbling the road ahead would be.
Of the roughly 5 million businesses launched in the United States each year, about one in five won’t survive year one. Half won’t make it to five years. And by the ten-year mark — where we stand today — nearly two-thirds are gone. The road doesn’t get easier in years three, four, five, six, seven, or eight.
And just for good measure — because the team at D-Riven has never shied away from a challenge — go ahead and add in the worst global pandemic in a century. Factor that in, and the percentage of companies that reach ten years drops to roughly one in three.
Some might say we got lucky. Lord knows we’ve made our share of mistakes along the way. But when I reflect honestly on why D-Riven is still standing, the answer is clear: it comes down to people.
A group of like-minded individuals who may not have always been considered the shiniest pennies in the box — but who were raised to rise early, work hard, face adversity head-on, respect others, and never walk away from a problem. People who aren’t afraid of a spirited debate, who show up for those in need, who believe, with every bit of their Give-A-Damn, that a solution exists for every challenge — whether you’re trying to feed the hungry, cure a disease that affects millions of children, or simply engineer a way to make a square peg fit in a round hole.
D-Riven Engineered Solutions has: Give-A-Damn.
We are Caring. We are Strong. We are Smart. We are Stubborn. We are loyal to a fault.
But most importantly — we are D-Riven.
Our people are driven. Our culture is family. And our mission has never wavered.
To everyone who took a chance on us, gave us the opportunity to grow, knew we were too stubborn to quit, or doubted us along the way — thank you. And to everyone who has stood beside us and supported the causes we hold closest to our hearts — we are deeply grateful.
Here’s to ten years. And everything still ahead.
Thank you.
