D-Riven Engineered Solutions is seeking a certified Master Electrician candidate that will be responsible for leading and executing electrical system installations, modifications, relocations, and removals in a manner consistent with D-Riven and Customer expectations and National Electrical Codes, with support from team members and apprentices.
Starting Pay Range: $36.00 – $40.00/hourly + overtime as needed
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Execute tasks as directed by electrical engineers, project engineers, and superintendents
- Develop task lists, and facilitate the execution of tasks by journeyman and apprentice teams
- Conduct and verify Lock-out/Tag-out (LOTO) of electrical sources prior to commencing work
- Work with peers and apprentices to disassemble power distribution electrical equipment, replace defective, worn, or failed system components, and reassemble equipment
- Develop project level material lists and supply them to those responsible for purchasing
- Gather tools and supplies to be used at the work site from internal stock, and suppliers
- Measure, cut, and bend EMT conduit, and thread rigid conduit
- Field-fit and install Unistrut frames and hangers, cable tray, and conduit piping
- Complete manual, and mechanically supported wire pulls and terminations
- Trace and label power distribution and control wiring prior to equipment removal
- Install/mount electrical system equipment including panels, disconnects, junction boxes, and motors
- Mentor journeymen, sign hours for apprentices, and supervise the team’s overall quality of work
- Maintain tools and equipment and keep supplies and parts in order
- Perform other routine jobsite duties as directed by site management
- Skills & Requirements:
- Willingness to travel full time (100% travel), and complete work nationwide
- Own and maintain a vehicle that is reliable and suited for interstate transportation
- Own and maintain a basic set of hand tools (wrenches and sockets <1”/25mm, screwdrivers, etc.)
- Possess mastery of the reading and interpretation of electrical schematics, and manuals
- Possess mastery of the use of electrical equipment and hand tools including:
- Manual pipe benders, electric/hydraulic pipe benders – bending pipe up to 4,” knock-outs, Unistrut shears, cable cutters and crimpers, wire feeders and tuggers, and multimeters
- Exhibit determination, and problem solving and critical thinking skills, leading projects by example
- Demonstrate mastery of electrical theory and applicable mathematical ability
- Present knowledge and ability to adhere to all applicable codes and accepted best practices
- Willingness to work nights and weekends/variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary
Required Experience and/or Education:
- High school diploma or GED
- Electrical trade school and master electrician license
- Knowledge of electrical theory, three-phase power, and industrial wiring methods
- Experience in operating aerial lifts, forklifts, and other powered equipment
- 15 years’ experience in the electrical trade, with at least 10 in an industrial setting
