Whether you have attended, donated, sponsored, helped work put together an event, or volunteered we cannot express enough kind words for helping us put together the amazing events we have had the opportunity of hosting in the past years. Because of the generosity of sponsors and those who donate, we have exceeded expectations in raising funds for the amazing causes we partner with.
D-Riven Engineered Solutions takes that same motivation when working with the community and special causes that are close to our hearts. DES has built relationships with JDRF, Fresh Start Club House of Ann Arbor, University of Michigan Transplant Center and recently have come together to gather Winter Gear for Shelter Association of Washtenaw County and House By The Side of the Road located in Ann Arbor, MI. Together we will make a positive impact and help empower those around us to be driven to make a positive difference in their community.
Our premier events occur annually and include exciting days of giving back at the D-Riven for a Cure annual golf outing and the Breaking Clays to Raise.
D-Riven for a Cure
The D-Riven for a Cure golf outing was created with the intention of giving back and raising funds for JDRF. JDRF is the leading charitable founder of juvenile (Type 1) diabetes research worldwide. The mission of JDRF is to find a cure for a diabetes and its complications throughout the support of research. The aim of JDRF is to help people live better with the condition, and to help find a cure to prevent T1d. Our event allows us to highlight facts about T1D, share educational resources in the months leading up to the event on our social media and on the day of the event, and following. The day includes an 18-hole golf game at the beautiful Oakhurst Golf and Country Club in Clarkston, MI, food, and fun, all while we raise funds to give back and to benefit JDRF. Thanks to the participation of attendees and sponsors, the event has grown over the past four years from 60 people to 100 people in attendance and we will host one of our largest and most impactful events as we celebrate five years of giving back in May 2025. Breaking Clays to Raise
In the Fall we host the Breaking Clays to Raise event. The Breaking Clays event is a clay shoot, aimed at the goal of raising an exceeding amount of funds for the cause at hand. Each year the event has hosted different causes and divided the funds equally amongst the causes. This year the event will focus on giving back to the University of Michigan Transplant Center with proceeds benefitting Camp Michitanki. Camp Michitanki is a summer camp created by the University of Michigan Transplant Center in 2003 to provide an exciting camping experience for children who have received organ transplants.
The Breaking Clays to Raise is a full day event that consists of breakfast, lunch, dinner, and delightful refreshments at the Huntsman Hunt Club in Dryden, Michigan. Participants are asked to sign up individually or in a team to participate in the breaking clays activity. This is a highly anticipated event for D-Riven Engineered Solutions and we work months in advance to make this spectacular day of giving happen. Our Partners
Our events have hosted spectacular guest including youth ambassadors from JDRF and Jahmyr Gibbs, Detroit Lions running back. The youth ambassadors of JDRF allow our attendees a glimpse into their life of living with Type 1 diabetes and share their personal stories and experiences of living with Type 1.
This year we also had the opportunity to join with Jahmyr Gibbs in a marketing collaboration and marketing partnership to help engage our events. Jahmyr is not just an amazing athlete, he is also an official ambassador for his cause, Family Frameworks, that helps to educate nearly 2,500 teens each year in several counties across his hometown of Dalton, Georgia. Jahmyr has a passion for helping his community and works to dedicate his time to learning about special causes. We recently welcome Jahmyr to our 2024 D-Riven for a Cure golf outing, where he shared his time with our attendees and a group of likeminded people looking all to give back! This partnership is a testament to the commitment of DES to our community, and our joint motivation to give back.
We also host several other company gatherings throughout the year that support local causes and have a community driven focus of giving back.
