Job Description: Engineering Technician

D-Riven is looking for a ‘Hands On’ team member who is a team player to join an exclusive team that works to get the job done on site for our customers.  We are looking for an Engineering Technician that plays a crucial role in supporting engineers and others in various technical duties.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines.  Identify potential safety hazards and take corrective actions to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Conduct tests on material, components, and systems to ensure they meet specified standards and requirements.  Collect and analyze data and assist engineers in interpreting results.
  • Troubleshoot, identify, and diagnose mechanical issues and malfunctions in machinery, equipment, or systems.  Determine the root cause of problems and implement effective solutions.
  • Assist in the creation of prototypes and models based on engineering designs.  Collaborate with engineers in refining designs and making improvements.
  • Calibrate and adjust equipment to meet established standards.  Ensure that measurement instruments are accurate and reliable.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including reports, schematics, and manuals.  Ensure that documentation is accurate, up to date, and easily accessible.
  • Assemble materials on job site based upon provided prints from engineers.
  • Work closely with engineers and others to support project goals.  Participate in project meetings and contribute insights and expertise.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Excellent personal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in using various hand and power tools.  Familiar with mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical systems.
  • Ability to recognize and solve typical problems using established operating procedures and scientific methods.
  • Solid electrical aptitude and mathematical abilities appropriate to the position.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret technical data.  
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficient in using computer applications and software relevant to the engineering field.
  • Experience in operating forklifts, personal lifts and other powered equipment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Required Experience and/or Education:

  • Education: An associate degree in engineering or equivalent, combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations.
  • Years of Experience:  4 – 6 years in relevant experience, preferably in industrial manufacturing setting
