Job Title: Technical Manager

Job Summary: D-Riven Engineered Solutions is looking for an experienced and accountable Technical Manager to join our Industrial Engineering division.  This employee will be responsible for interfacing with internal and customer project teams and managing the execution of technically complex project tasks to meet our customers’ varied needs, while upholding D-Riven’s high quality standards.

Pay: $141k – $150k annually

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

In this position, the employee will:

  • Coordinate with D-Riven, and customer management teams to support scope of work development and project costing, quoting, and planning activities
  • Support D-Riven Project Engineers and Program Managers in the development of comprehensive timelines and resource plans
  • Support the development of engineering design packages
  • Locate and review project-relevant engineering schematics/drawings including utility system demand, machine foundation requirements, etc.
  • Work to complete engineering design reviews with customers and vendors
  • Work with municipalities and inspectors on projects requiring local permitting
  • Engage vendors to support the quoting process, sourcing of materials, and the execution of projects
  • Support and direct internal and external teams of pipefitters and plumbers on mechanical system installations, along with electricians and controls technicians on electrical system installations
  • Review technical reports generated by Project Engineers prior to distribution to internal management, or customer project teams
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with applicable codes, best-practices, Quality Assurance/Quality Control policies, and specifications
  • Provide experience-based guidance and performance feedback to Project Engineers and Team Leads under your supervision, along with evaluations, formally and informally.
  • Interact with clients daily or as necessary to convey key progress updates, answer questions, and address their evolving needs
  • Uphold health and safety standards throughout the execution of a given project, ensuring compliance with customer safety rules and regulations, along with D-Riven’s safety standards
  • Coordinate and monitor the progress of assigned engineering projects
  • Serve as the overall technical manager for projects under your supervision 
  • Travel requirements to project work sites up to 75%

  • Required Skills:
  • To be qualified for the position, applicants must possess:
  • Field-based experience as a Maintenance Manager, Project Engineer, or equivalent in an industrial environment
  • Knowledge of design software such as AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings, schematics, and standards
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills:
    • Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project
  • Experience with a multidisciplinary project team:
    • Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, Concrete/Masonry, Rigging
  • Project management and supervisory skills
  • A willingness to work in uncomfortable environments, when required

  • Required Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree, or higher, in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, or similar relevant field required
    • 10+ years of relevant experience in an adjacent field (industrial maintenance, etc.) may be viewed equitably
  • Prior training and certification in the following disciplines are highly desirable:
    • Electrical, plumbing, welding, program or project management
